Selecting track for faster editing

Hey Guys!

I just started to learn DaVinci while switching from GrassValley Edius. I am checking all tutorials I can find to match the moves/functions I am using, but couldn't find this one.

In Edius, there is a very handy feature (among others) where you can simply select a track with just clicking on it a the left of the timeline, where your tracks are listed. While the track selected, you can perform many edits like cuts, ripple edits on the selected track without selecting the corresponding clip you wish to make the editing on. Editing will take effect on the clip at the point where your playhead is, without selecting the clip itself. This really speeds up the editing while cutting out all unwanted part of any clips, as I don't have to select any clips, just perform the shortcuts at playhead's positions.

I haven't found if I can do this in DaVinci, only unsyncing other tracks, but this function is for something else.

Can you please advise?

Many thanks!
