In my DaVinci Resolve Studio projects, exports sometimes have a split-second of a loud sound at the very start or end of a clip that doesn't appear when editing or playing in the timeline. These happen at the clip boundary - not 1-2 seconds in. The sounds don't sound like pops or clicks but instead my voice or something similar-sounding (my voice is present through much of the audio). Strangely, such a sound is NOT at that point in the clip, even if I extend the clip there to troubleshoot. If I re-export without any edits then sometimes it disappears, sometimes not. For big exports it's quite timewasting exporting a project only to find I need to re-export to roll the dice again.
I've tried the suggestion of deleting render cache which didn't fix it. Tried restarting Resolve and ensuring it's up-to-date. Tried muting volume of both clips at the boundary, didn't always work.
As for some suggestions I got from AI to try which often seem to be based on sparse reports by other users that don't necessarily match the specific issue I'm having (my thoughts in parentheses):
1. Reduce "Render speed" from Maximum to 50 fps (I'll try this if it reoccurs. I usually use the H.264 preset in Quick Export so I guess I would duplicate that preset with modified render speed).
2. Duplicate a timeline and transfer content over (inconvenient, and this is more reactive, not preventative - something one would do if the issue already occurred in an export so time has already been wasted - and it's hard to determine whether that fixed it since it was already intermittent).
3. Check audio effects (I rarely use any audio effects beyond what's enabled in Resolve by default; this issue usually occurred when I had no extra audio effects added).
4. Convert compressed recordings to PCM and relink (inconvenient, takes up more time and space, reactive vs. preventative).
Seeking human input to cover all bases - what is the cause of this issue and any tips to preventing it? Thanks for any help!
