I am a life long hobbyist photographer who has had bouts of struggling with video in the past. I tried a Blackmagic 4K and did get better at video. I now have a Nikon ZR o one foot in the video world and another Stills camera. I enjoy both stills and video (mostly birds or sports).
Davinci Resolve is the best software for Video that I have tried and came with my 4K camera. I prefer it to FCP or any other app I have tried. BUT now it has a Photo tb, and whilst I use Capture One and Nitro - Resolve does very well on the Photos side too! I may well end up with just Resolve and Nitro.
