Trying to restore AC-3 functionality in Resolve Studio on Windows 11 has been extremely frustrating. Microsoft quit including AC-3 support in Windows 11. Searching the internet tells me that I should be able to restore it and restoring it should enable Resolve to play my old audio.
I've downloaded and installed the K-Lite mega codec pack and that has not solved the problem. Apparently this often recommended approach works for some people and not for others but I do not know why; Maybe it has to do with the options selected during installation, I don't know.
At this point, I would be willing to pay for a plug-in that supported AC-3 audio, if there is such a thing available.
If I cannot figure this out, what are my options? Convert my footage into some other format?
