Will there be support for Ubuntu based Linux distros?

I currently use the free version of DaVinci Resolve on Linux, namely Zorin OS which is a based on Ubuntu. There is currently no setup/support for Ubuntu based distros but you can get it to work with some hacking and community scripts. Now I am interrested in getting the paid studio version but if there is no actual setup or support for my distro then I am very hesitent to buy the paid version. My question is: Are there any plans on making a Ubuntu version distributed as .deb, preferably through the apt package management system?

I wish I could answer your question in full. I do know that DVR has a download available for Linux; however, support for installation and features is lacking, so I do not believe DVR offers much in that department. I did find a site that may be of some use to you, where you can dig up a little more information about the support and/or workarounds you may need to follow.

I run DVR on Windows, so I do not have any hands-on experience with Linux distros. Hopefully, the site I pointed you to will have more information than I can provide.
