New Hardware Advice

Total newbie here. I just downloaded Davinci and it won't run on my system (Older Alienware with Geforce GTX960 GPU).
I knew I was coming due to update, so this is the trigger to go ahead.
I have Several Questions:
1. There are lots of different GPUs out there. Does anyone have a list of currently available GPUs that will work?
2. Dumb question, but What is Blackmagic Design? Several places list it as a system requirement. Is it an application or is it some kind of driver?
3. Will I be ok with 32g ram? - FYI: I'm not a high end user or professional graphics person. Not using a digital movie camera. I'll be editing GoPro videos.

Note: I've seen the list of "requirements" so you don't need to repost that, but requirements like "
  • GPU which supports OpenCL 1.2 or CUDA 11
Don't really tell me what GPU will work.
I'm pretty clear on other system requirements, just need help figuring out the GPU (without breaking the bank).
Thanks

Do not fall into the trap to buy expensive GPUs. See this video and you will save a lot of money:

See answer for #1. Same for RAM. Look at the video. It is really worth it. Real life sutuations. Not just specs.

Thanks for the reply. I'll go look at it now.
As for Black magic. Why is it listed as a system prerequisite? Is it a systems level process or a software package I need to run Davinci, or is it like a plugin for higher end features?
When I downloaded Davinci there was no mention of it, and Will pop up as a systems requirement error if I don't have it? (My install won't run because of my gpu.)

No Blackmagick design is needed to use DaVinci Resolve or DaVinci Resolve Studio.

DVR runs on Windows and Mac. GPU with at least 8GB RAM. Does not need to be the fastest GPU, depending on what you want to do.

Same for RAM and Chip of your PC
