Issues recording sound from mic

When connecting a microphone as an input device, there is no sound. It doesn't depend on the DaVinci version — I've tried different versions from the 19 series and now I'm on 20, but it's all the same everywhere.

I've done everything according to countless instructions that you can find online: in Fairlight, select the track, press Input, choose the input device, select the desired track, and then press Patch. After that, I hit R on the track or in the mixer. The problem is that for some reason, my list of devices shows eight copies of the single microphone. You can patch any one of them, and it seems like everything connects properly, but there's still no sound. The meters on the mixer don't move, recording happens, but there's no audio recorded. Meanwhile, in other applications, everything works fine: recording in Vegas Pro works, Discord picks up the sound. I've gone through all the Windows settings and those in DaVinci itself, trying various configurations, but nothing helps.

PC specs:
Win 10 х64 / Resolve 19/20
MB Gigabyte B75-D3V / CPU Intel i5-3570K / GPU nVidia GeForce GTX 1660 (always latest driver) / Memory Kingston 16 Gb (2*8) / Mic Sven 7.1 usb-Headset

I've had the same issues, my solution was to just not use DVR to record audio. Recording audio in Logic Pro, Garageband, or even the free program Audacity then importing into DVR all work flawlessly and will save you the frustration. DVR is just not a reliable program for audio in my experience.
