DaVinci Resolve - am I doing this totally wrong?

My Mini 3 can record in -

4K - 3840 x 2160 pixels (30fps max)

2.7K - 2720 x 1530 (60 fps max)

My monitor has a max resolution of 2560 x 1440 so i have been filming at 2.7k - 2720 x 1530 - 60 fps then changing it to 2560 x 1440 - 60fps when editing it in Davinci resolve my thinking being if my monitor cannot show 2.7k - 2720 x 1530 - 60 fps there is no reason to "Deliver" it at that resolution in DaVinci, so as the thread title says am i doing this totally wrong?

Any advice would be most welcome

Why not just film in 4k, edit in 4k, and export at 4k? Just because your monitor is not 4k doesn't mean you can't edit and export a 4k file with it. You can use a proxy or downscale your timeline resolution to HD if you're having any issues with viewing the footage or if your computer struggles to edit 4k. Hope this helps.

Thanks, my problem with 4k is my drone can only film in 30fps as i do quite a lot of panning it can lead to stutter in playback so i prefer 60 fps i will try it in 2.7k - 2720 x 1530 - 60 fps and deliver it at 2.7k - 2720 x 1530 - 60 fps instead of dropping it to 2560 x 1440 - 60fps and see how it goes.
